KPV (Lys–Pro–Val) is a synthetic tripeptide derived from the C-terminal region (amino acids 11–13) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α‑MSH). KPV is a tripeptide composed of Lysine–Proline–Valine (Lys–Pro–Val), with molecular formula C₁₆H₃₀N₄O₄ and molecular weight approximately 342.43 Da (PubChem CID 125672). It is also known by synonyms such as MSH (11–13) and ACTH (11–13). The minimal Lys–Pro–Val sequence retains robust anti-inflammatory function, distinct from larger peptide frameworks [0][22].
