What is Cardiogen (25mg)?

Cardiogen is a synthetic tetrapeptide (H‑Ala‑Glu‑Asp‑Arg‑OH) recognized as a tissue-specific bioregulator [1]. Laboratory research shows it modulates fibroblast activity—cells key to extracellular matrix production—and promotes cardiomyocyte proliferation while suppressing markers of cellular stress, such as p53, in cardiac tissue models [2][3][4].

Chemical Structure of Cardiogen (25mg)

The molecule has the chemical formula C₁₈H₃₁N₇O₉ and a molecular weight of approximately 489.5 Da [1][5]. It lacks disulfide bonds, featuring a polar composition that facilitates cellular and nuclear penetration in experimental settings [6].

What Are the Effects of Cardiogen (25mg)?

Cardiac Tissue Effects:

In organotypic rat heart cultures, Cardiogen stimulated cardiomyocyte proliferation in both young and aged tissue, often accompanied by decreased p53 expression—suggesting reduced apoptosis [2][3].

Fibroblast Regulation:

Studies show Cardiogen alters fibroblast behavior, increasing collagen and elastin synthesis—key elements in tissue maintenance and repair [6].

Tumor-Cell–Selective Apoptosis:

In rat M-1 sarcoma models, Cardiogen induced apoptosis in tumor tissue, attributed to vascular-mediated mechanisms, while preserving healthy cardiac tissue [4].

Intracellular Protein Upregulation:

Investigations reveal Cardiogen increases expression of cytoskeletal proteins (actin, vimentin, tubulin) and nuclear matrix proteins (lamins A/C), which may support cell growth and stability [6].

Potential Anti-Apoptotic Activity:

Laboratory observations indicate that Cardiogen may inhibit apoptosis via downregulation of p53 and enhancement of structural protein synthesis [2][6].
